2020 VP Hall of Fame Awards

Coil Construction was honored with two 2020 Hall of Fame awards. Coil received the awards in the office category for the Gadbois Professional Office Building and the warehouse category for the Cartwright Business Technology Park. Both buildings were entered in the Hall of Fame contest sponsored by Varco Pruden Buildings.

2019 Top of the Town Award

Coil Construction was voted Top Commercial Builder by COMO Magazine in 2019.

2018 Top of the Town Award

Coil Construction was again voted Top Commercial Builder by COMO Magazine in 2018.

2017 Top of the Town Award

Coil Construction was voted Top Commercial Builder by COMO Magazine in 2017.

2016 VP Hall of Fame Award

Awarded by Varco Pruden in the school category for the Allied Health Professions Building, a 25,000 square foot, two-story building with hospital simulation rooms, class and study rooms and administrative office space. This annual award recognizes top projects by Varco Pruden builders that display innovation and excellence through the integration of VP building systems, products, architectural appearance, end use and design.

2016 Top of the Town Award

Coil Construction was voted Top Commercial Contractor by Columbia Business Times in 2016.

2010 Grand Award from Midwest Builders’ Casualty.

In 2010 Coil Construction was awarded the Grand Award In Loss Prevention/Loss Control by Midwest Builders” Casualty as a recognition of their continued efforts and achievements in loss prevention/loss control.

2009 VP Hall of Fame Awards

Awarded by Varco Pruden for both Agriculture and Automobile Dealership. Coil Construction received a 2009 VP Hall of Fame Award in the agriculture category for its work on Warm Springs Ranch near Boonville in Cooper County, Mo. Coil also received a 2009 VP Hall of Fame Award for the Perry Nissan Dealership at 201 Nebraska Avenue in Columbia. With a near record 252 entries, Varco Pruden officials described this year”s competition as the strongest in memory.

2008 VP Hall of Fame Award

Awarded by Varco Pruden in the retail category for Coil Construction”s work on the building at 2540 Broadway Bluffs Drive in Columbia, which now houses Chipotle Mexican Grill. The annual award competition, sponsored by Varco Pruden Buildings, recognizes outstanding integration of building systems, products and design from builders throughout North America.

2007 VP Buildings Best in Category Award

Awarded by Varco Pruden for The Broadway Shops, a nearly 86,000-square-foot retail shopping center in east Columbia. The awards competition recognizes excellence in design, craftsmanship and construction. Varco Pruden, a supplier of pre-fabricated buildings, holds the contest annually for companies that have been designated as Varco Pruden authorized builders. Coil Construction received one of five awards given in the retail category in 2007.

2007 Excellence in Safety Award from the Builders’ Association Self-Insurers’ Fund

The award, handed out six to 10 times during the year to Builders “Association Self-Insurers” Fund members, recognizes excellence in field safety, claims management and loss prevention. The Builders ”Association Self-Insurers” Fund, based in Kansas City, Mo., is a provider of workers” compensation coverage for more than 400 commercial contractors in Missouri and Kansas.

2007 Hall of Fame Awards

Awarded by Varco Pruden for three projects, including the Truman Medical Building, a 20,000-square-foot medical complex in Jefferson City; the Warrensburg Professional Suites, a 14,000-square-foot eye care and dentistry facility in Warrensburg; and Heartland Farm and Lawn, a John Deere dealership in Center view. Hall of Fame awards are awarded by Varco Pruden, a supplier of pre-fabricated buildings.

2007 Incident and Injury Free Award

Awarded by BP Pipelines (formerly Amoco) for completing 5,000 injury and incident free hours over the past year. The award includes Coil Construction personnel as well as all of the trade contractors involved in the project.
