Facilities Maintenance Technician

Description
Coil Facilities Management (a part of Coil Construction) is searching for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician who is knowledgeable in all facets of commercial building maintenance, repairs, and renovations. They must be willing to join our team of maintenance professionals in assisting our clients with their building operation needs. Our Facilities Maintenance Technicians are responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance programs, responding to the building maintenance and repair needs, and completing small to medium size projects for our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform typical Building Manager duties at multiple sites
  • Excellent communication with building owners and other maintenance team members
  • Ability to use a mobile device for daily reporting and record keeping
  • Basic knowledge of building mechanical systems and equipment care
  • Coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries on small to medium size projects
  • Hands-on repair skills including drywall patching, painting, caulking, light plumbing/electrical, flooring, doors, windows, etc.
  • Commercial carpentry work including installation of commercial doors and hardware, drop ceiling installations/repairs, wall framing, cabinets, countertops, etc.
  • Occasional after-hours work so as not to disrupt operations of occupied facilities of our clients
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Experiences
  • Trade Skills including but not limited to: installation of doors, millwork, casework, electrical (lighting, outlets, switches), plumbing fixtures, wall framing, painting
  • Experience with minor commercial roof repairs
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, trained to work 6 ft above ground
  • All candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial construction and/or maintenance field.
Working Environment
  • 100% field
  • Working hours are 8 hours per day Monday through Friday
  • Physical requirements include ability to climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, lift up to 50 lbs, reach overhead
  • Travel requirements include working on projects in the central Missouri area or further with travel pay
